HOLIDAYS With or without your pets.
We love our pets and when we want a holiday sometimes we like to take them with us, if we cant we want to make sure they are safe and looked after. I dedicate this page to places we have personally been to and hope you will contact us so we can add your experiences also. If you own / run a pet freindly place please email me and I will be happy to add to my page.
Pen-Y-Bont - Bala Mid Wales
This is one of the first campsites we took our dog 2006 and we were made very welcome. The owners have dogs too. Great site with excellent toilet facilities and very cheap shop, the area is amazing with bala lake plenty of walks and pubs with outside seating. We also found a very nice hotel which accepts dogs nearby (Bala Hotel). We spent many evenings here relaxing with a drink. After a long weekend we came home feeling like we had really "been on holiday” We will be returning. Seacotes Caravan Park -St Bees Cumbria
Booked through Hoseasons Easter 2007 bank holiday weekend we found this extremely dog friendly caravan park we had a really nice static caravan with no signs of previous doggies very clean and new. The beach in St Bees has lots of dogs all the time most off leads, there's also a large grass area and a special "doggie toilet" but I didn't rate the doggie toilet it was a small fenced off area ?? One issue, no dog waste bins on or near the beach except the doggies toilet. There's a great walk up the start of the coast to coast walk. We also went to Whitehaven for the day and there was a cafe near the harbour which invites your canine friends inside while you eat. Great for winter. It really is the most dog friendly place I think I have been to. Word of warning, we experienced trouble at the local hotel at night time I wouldn't recommend going here too late. If you walk to the village all the pubs have outside seating areas so you can take the dog for a few summer scoops. Cysgod y Coed Cottage - Anglesey
A simply stunning three bedroomed converted miking barn very spacious and in the middle of nowhere. A large outside area for the dogs, lots of stunning beaches and dog freindly pubs. We will be returning next year without a doubt.
